I always marvel at Elgar’s scores. His attention to detail is meticulous, bordering on obsessive. Leaving the performer in no doubt regarding his intentions. You may know this Adagio as the third movement of his First Symphony; wonderfully calm, then passionate, and ending in blissful serenity. Ahhh! 10 mins. M/A
